Christmas Party at school

A little update information to go along with this post since it's about "school" or daycare. Max had been going to a daycare in Paducah and rode with me every morning and afternoon. After several months with this arrangement, we decided it might be more convenient to have him at a daycare in Marshall County near our house. Max started his new "school" in January and he loves it! (and so do his Mommy and Daddy). His new school has online cameras that allow us to peek in on him throughout the day. They have already done so many neat activities including last Friday...."Squish blueberries with our toes". We'll post some photos of Max with his friends at school soon.
These are pictures of the Christmas Party at Max's previous school. He was the only one that wasn't afraid of Santa and Mrs. Clause so he kept going up to Santa and receiving each child's gift and then delivering it to them...such a helpful little Elf :)

Max and his best girl friend, Elizabeth. These two were inseperable at school.

Go Bye Bye's

Sometimes when I want Max to follow me into some other room in the house...I tell him we're going "bye bye". I just mean that we're going "bye bye" to another room but this paticular morning he took it to mean that we were LEAVING so he ran into the kitchen and got his coat and insisted we put it on. He did not want to miss whatever "bye bye" trip we were taking. He left his coat on over his jammies for about 30 more minutes before he felt convinced that we were not going "bye bye's"...(for some reason he has now added an "s" on the end of the phrase)

Pancake Eater

This child would probably eat pancakes for every meal if they were offered.

Santa Breakfast with Mimi and Mariwyn

Mimi (Mitzi) and Mariwyn (Marliyn) took Max to the Annual Murray Santa Breakfast. He got to decorate his own sugar cookie, play with stickers, color, EAT (of course) and meet Santa!

Max and Mimi deciding which sticker is best.
For 45 minutes (waiting in line) we had to chase Max down
and keep him from running up to Santa before it was his turn.
Then, when it finally came time for him to get to sit on Santa's
lap....apparently he'd lost the mood.
He calmed down long enough to check Santa out

Max was quite interested in the beautiful snow globe.

Reindeer Dancing (Day #3 of One a Day Posts)

(actually...I guess this will be a "two a day" post)
Max performs some sort of "sleepy-eyed" dance
Watching "Mmmm Mou" (Mickey Mouse) in the Mommy's childhood chair
Max wanted to stay VERY close to his toys. :)

Max helps Mommy

Max must have decided in his little toddler head that he'd like to help his Mommy with the laundry. He also must have felt that the most efficient way to help Mommy would be to wash his clothes while they were still on his body. As Max's bath water is running, he usually takes time to deposit his bath toys into the water one at a time in anticipation of a fun time in the tub. This is what I saw when I turned around after have turned my back on him for 2 seconds to grab his toothbrush at the sink behind me.....These babies are smart and FAST!
A soggy baby!

Day #2 of the "One a Day Posts"

Max and Mommy and Daddy took a weekend shopping trip to St. Louis with Nona and Paw in early December. We stayed downtown at the Adam's Mark. Our rooms just happened to be right off a spacious lobby on our floor. It provided lots of room for Max and Daddy to practice their soccer skills. Max also thoroughly enjoyed the "Moo...Moo" in the lobby. You'll see it's actually a horse and in the past two months, we have learned the difference but I remember, at that time, he shouted out a "moo moo" every time we passed through the lobby.

No Excuses....Just pictures...

We apologize for the (not so brief) interruption of blogging. We're back and we'll be posting once a day until we catch up to present time. :) We'll start circa late November. The only reason I can tell these pictures are from late November is because Max has on his Thanksgiving Season outfit. That's definitely not the important part of the picture....the IMPORTANT part is that when the toddler is unusually quiet...better go assess the damage. They're always very quiet when they're up to something. Here, Max has unloaded his diaper drawer and is creating quite a lovely diaper spread.
Previewing his masterpiece.

Racer Nation 2007

Max cheering the Racers on to victory. Actually...it's more likely that he was just cheering for something silly his Aunt Nikki had done because the game hadn't even started at this point. He LOVES to clap and yell "YEAHHHH"! (especially for the Deal or No Deal contestants)

Congratulations Aunt Jess!

It's a good thing our little Elephant did so many Halloween Pre-show activities because the actual day got cut a little short for Max. Here is Max in his Boo Day jammies on Halloween morning. He wanted to wish Aunt Jess good luck on her PA school entrance interview. Then, it was off to Mommy's work to say "Hi" to Gran and everyone at WKCTC. The Elephant then made his way to school and had time for a halloween cupcake before Mommy came to pick up a puny Max. We thought taking him home early for a good nap might perk him up enough for trick or treating....no luck. Our Elephant was pretty sickly and had to stay home on Thursday and Friday to recouperate.

Updates: Mr. Max is all better and Aunt Jess was accepted in the 2008 SIU PA class. CONGRATULATIONS!!! We're so proud of you!
