Summer Fun on the Lake!

Max got to enjoy his first boat ride last weekend on Kentucky Lake. Thanks so much to the Smiths for showing us such a good time. :)

Max was not impressed with the lack of mobility caused by the lifejacket.
He was impressed by the smooth ride allowing him to catch a quick nap.

Awake and enjoying some playtime

Max even got to "drive" the boat with David.

Bumps and Swings

Fun times swinging and unrelated bruised eyebrows....Max loves his new swing that Grandma G and Grandpa D brought for his birthday. At first he didn't quite know what to think about it...then he decided it was lots of fun and giggled with delight...then he decided it was very soothing and almost fell asleep.
Max's first "traumatic" bump. (the bump seemed to be MUCH more traumatic for Mommy). Max had a little slip in the bathtub and bumped his head. He cried for about 7 seconds and then was back to normal playtime. This was the morning after when the bruise appeared. He looked like he'd been in some type of baby bar fight.
Loving the swing!
He looks like he hanging on for dear life.

First Haircut

Max visits Michelle and gets his very first haircut!

Snip, snip...Miss Michelle said Max was such a good boy and held still (well...I guess as still as can be expected from a 1 year old. :)
The finished product...how handsome.

We had two great weekends of celebrating Mr. Max's First Birthday.
Thank you so much to all of Max's friends and family who made this milestone so special! We love you all!
There are LOTS of pictures in this post and, unfortunately they are somewhat out of order. I'll label and you'll have to use your imagination to get the timeline. :)

First Birthday

It's hard to believe it was only a year ago that this precious little bundle came into our lives. We have enjoyed every minute, Max. We couldn't ask for more. You amaze us everyday and we can't wait to share all the moments to come with you! We love you, Bubby! Happy Birthday!

Mobile Max

After about two weeks of "one step at a time"....Max is now officially walking. Seems like it happened overnight. He is waddling all around the house now. When he really wants to get somewhere fast...he plops down because crawling is still the fastest mode of Max transport. He looks like such a big boy walking around playing with Gracee.

My Future's so Bright....

I GOTTA WEAR SHADES!!!

....and then I "gotta" rip them off my face before Mommy can snap another picture.

Big Boy Bath

Mr. Max has been squeezing into his baby "tubby" for 11 months (Mommy's fault) but has now graduated to the big boy bath tub. He loves it! More room for toys and splashing.

Moving Right Along

Max and Daddy's new favorite activity is bike rides. Daddy does the peddling and Max does the sitting. He loves this cart. He even fell alseep in it this week and took a 30 minute nap while the bike ride continued. Babies can sleep anywhere. Thanks so much to the Holts (Grandma and Grandpa Brock's neighbors) for sharing this awesome ride!

Just in case the scenery is not enough...we take toys to entertain. :)
